Topographies

The first part of the Topographies was made in summer 2004 during a three months stay in Bernau in the Black Forest, Germany. It consists of 42 drawings on paper: single pictures, double pictures and series up to five pictures. After moving the studio from Berlin to Caputh in Brandenburg the cycle was continued in the newly-built studio between 2008 and 2010 with myriad drawings on paper and large sized paintings on canvas showing pictures between landscape and rhythm, between locus and time. From these derive the first drawings from 2009 preparing the cycle Transit.
